The last 2 weeks in February,
a phenomenon occurs where the sun meets Horsetail Falls in Yosemite National Park. The result is the waterfall lights up with the last rays of sunlight from that day. This causes the waterfall to glow red hot as if there is flowing magma from the far right side of El Capitan. I have been attempting to capture the Firefall for more than 6 years. Until 2021, I was unsuccessful. Either the waterfall was dry due to a lack of snow falling that year, or the clouds blocked out the sunlight. To finally witness this amazing event and capture it gave me a sense of awe and reminded me how much I love Photography and Nature.Firefall 2021Yosemite National ParkEl CapitanHorsetail FallsFirefallwintersnowsunsetartfine artwaterfallYosemite
Tunnel View of Yosemite Valley
Yosemite National Park's Tunnel view of Yosemite Valley is by far my favorite place to see the splendor of the canyon. Every time single time I see Half Dome and El Capitan while driving into the Valley is just as magnificent as the first time I saw this Valley. Winter is a tricky time to visit the park but it is definitely worth the trip!

Bridal Veil Falls
While visiting Yosemite National Park in February, I had to rephotograph one of my favorite waterfalls. The first time I took a picture of this waterfall I was very inexperienced with manual mode. The colors and exposure were so off because I was so new at using a DSLR. I had to apply my knowledge and post production to recapture this image. The frozen sheets from the wall warmed up the in the afternoon and caused several large sheets to crash to the canyon floor making a thunderous crash that could be hear all throughout the valley!
